As a child I always loved a good book, one that captured my attention right from the start. Now as an adult I can stop reading. There is so much to learn, so many stories to be heard, so much value to add to our lives. I feel it’s important to pass that on to Jax and to encourage to him to let his mind wonder as he learns to read. This summer we had a rainy day and decided to check out our local bookstore.
I hadn’t been to Sundial books since college, and forgot the magic of getting lost in the expanded bookstore. Upon entering you are welcomed by the friendly owners of the shop who are more than happy to order whatever they don’t have in stock. The bottom floor is filled with children’s books, new reads, local books, and a gift shop. There is also a back reading porch that overlooks the waterfront downtown park. When you make your way upstairs get ready to search for just about any used book you could imagine.
Jax spent at least an hour looking through the children’s section trying to pick the perfect book while I headed right to the new book section to Reese's Pick of the Month. We had an amazing experience and we can’t wait to get lost for the afternoon again as soon as we finish our books. If your in town Sundial books is a MUST STOP.
